Why McCain Wasn’t a Good Idea
Apr 25, 2009
Meghan McCain just drew up some of her ideas to successfuly stimulate the GOP with victories in the next elections.
Her answer: “Go Gay!” In bold letters she exclaims, “Republican resistance to gay marriage goes against conservative values—and our own self-interest.” ( Source

America is under fire. We have terrorist after us, but they are not what I am referring to. We are under siege by our own morals. There is a new generation of young Americans that are growing-up moraless and tearing down our countries defining principles. I have never written an article on “gay marriage,” mainly because I don’t think it should even be an issue. I do believe that every individual is created equally. But let me put it this way, marriage is not two individuals, of the same sex, committing to each other. If they want to commit to each other I’m not going to stop them. But it’s not marriage. Marriage is an institution designed by God where a man and woman, with the blessing of their parents, make a covenant before God and other witnesses, to become husband and wife, until death do they part.”
These are good old principles, Meghan McCain. Principles that were not present in your dad’s campaign for president. That is why republicans lost. We left our principles. The answer is not to become un-conservative and more valueless.
WorldMag.com had an article on “Meghan’s plan” and ended with some outstanding truth.
Republicans can take old ideas that once brought them victory and repackage them for a new generation. Embracing what has worked—economically, politically, and morally—has sustained America through many challenges. While a moral reformation cannot come through government, moral deterioration will advance with greater speed if political leadership does not remind the country of unchanging principles.
What shall it profit a party if it gains electoral victory, but loses its political soul?
