Tim Walberg served the interests of America

Nov 20, 2008

I just saw this article in the Jackson Citizen Patriot. The Cit-Pat posted a new article on mlive.com called, Walberg served the interests of his district. I want to say double dittos to this letter. Tim Walberg served my district in Michigan passionately and successfully. Thousands of people and I are sad to see him leave on his first term in January. I would love to see Tim run again in 2010!

“JACKSON — I wish to thank a true patriot for exemplary service to our nation these past two years. U.S. Rep. Tim Walberg served the interests of the people he represented, never his own.

When the Washington elite voted to bail out failed banks that made poor decisions, Rep. Walberg said no deal. He rightly knew those responsible should clean up the mess, not taxpayers.

He offered good solutions, but few in Congress would listen. I will miss his honorable, principled common-sense approach to Washington politics and his defense of values held dearly since the time of our Founding Fathers.

Also to be thanked are his wife, Sue, and his fine campaign staff of Joe Wicks, Justin Roebuck, Katherine Montgomery and so many others who helped him to run an accurate and truthful campaign.

I extend my gratitude for a job well done for the citizens of the 7th Congressional District of Michigan.”

Hey, that’s me mentioned in there! I can’t believe I never saw this letter before now. Thanks for pointing it out to me, Andrew.

Walberg was neither principled nor honorable. He failed his constituents miserably, he was a pawn of the far right and couldn’t care less about those outside the fringe areas of Hillsdale and Lenawee counties.

    Good Riddance.

    Hey Katherine,
Yeah, you are in there! You had such passion and drive for Tim on the campaign. Your work was not in vain because you inspired others in the right way. Keep up the good work.

Walberg only served his own bank account while in office, didn’t acomplish one thing for his district and lost because the voters figured that out.

Well, Anonymous…next time you comment would you like to leave your real name??? Why not? Why can’t you back up your writing with your name? It’s not that tough, and we won’t attack you when we find it out. Anyway, what you are saying really has no merit. Name me something that didn’t get done because of Walberg? BTW. What has Granholm/Schauer/Levin done for us being in office for a combined amount of over 31 years, when Walberg was only in office in Congress for one term? (Two years) Walberg was the hardest working Congressman I have known. He never voted to raise your taxes. He voted against all pork-barell spending which wastes your tax dollars. I wish I could say the same thing for Schauer and Levin, but I couldn’t.
